DGPhotoDesigns will be having their Grand Opening\Open house!

Saturday, April 27th from 10-4

1150 W Lincolnway (also known as 1 Center Street)

Some of you may also know this building as the old Valpo Tech.

DGPhotoDesigns will be having a few product reveals, so now would be the perfect time to come in and see what is coming out.

My good friend and fellow photographer Molly will be taking the head shots for anyone that would like their photo taken and it will be available as a download for your personal use one week from the event. She is making some cute flower cookies in my biz colors too Thanks Molly!

Tickets for the raffle will be sold at 3 for $5 or $2 for single tickets..donations welcome too.

Proceeds from this raffle will be going to help this young lady, Grace Linden, to go on a missions trip to an orphanage in Haiti.

I am going with a team to serve with Haitian Support Ministries in Jacmel, Haiti.

While we are there we will be working with the children in the orphanages and helping with the feeding centers.

This trip’s focus is Christian mentoring and worship.

We will help disciple our Christian brothers and sisters in areas of modesty, purity and who we are in Christ.

Our team leaves July 31- August 6.

If you could please pray for me and my team:

1. Hearts would be opened
2. We will show Christ’s love to the Haitian people
3. Safe travel
4. Safety while in Haiti

I hope to be able to come back from this trip with a better understanding of how people in third world countries live. Haiti is the poorest country in our hemisphere.

The main thing for me is that seeing as how I was once an orphan, being able to work among the children in the orphanage there, I’m hoping God will be able to use that in helping me connect with the kids there.

This was such a fun shoot!

Some of you may remember my first concept shoot that I went on with KellyK Photography, Fire + Ice, well I fell in love with it and wanted to organize my own and was very grateful for Kelly in helping me with this and inspiring me! Jodi was amazing at posing how she just breezed through, she made it look so effortless it left me in amazement.

3 Girls, 3 Photographers, Freezing temperatures and an amazing time!

When Kelly from KellyKPhotography posted that she was wanting to do a concept shoot with the the fire + ice I was pretty excited to contact her and ask if I could work with her and

was even more excited when she said YES!

Our first model was Brianna at 10am and to say it was cold is an understatement. But man did the girls really tough it out, I couldn’t have done it!

Here I was in long johns, 2 pairs of socks, winter boots, my husband’s carhart coat, hat and gloves and these girls where in summer dresses! I could never be a model I am a WIMP

Here is 2 versions of the same image and then the SOOC (straight out of the camera)

I have not really played with textures so I was trying to get a feel for them….

Here is another image that I just love. On this one I added more blue streaks to her hair, added some eyeshadow, added some blue to her eyes, and cropped it.

I also tried playing with another texture and I really really like it

At DGPhotoDesigns we don’t just click a button and you have a beautiful portrait for your home.

Love, Care, Patience and a LOT of time goes into making the perfect portrait.

In this example you can see that mom was safely within distance and actually helping assist with holding the little ones head so that he could be seen in the photo and as with older siblings, yet still young enough to be a little wiggly, the sister’s hair fell out of place.
